This fully functional clock makes a wonderful addition to any room. You can choose the theme, the colors or the design, making it suitable for your space or that special someone!

This project is suitable for all ages, so bring your children, family members or friends for a fun evening filled with creativity and design!

The cost of the workshop is $25.00 and includes all materials as well as the studio fee.

Amazing Art Camp
Camp is open to anyone in Gr. 1 - 6.

Our campers always have fun! We start the day with a craft and pottery painting, then we take a short walk to Waterloo Park for some outdoor fun and games. Once back at the studio the art fun continues while we work on anther fun project.  

Camp runs from 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Cost $60.00 per child includes all materials and supplies.
Late pick-up available at additional cost.
Tax receipts provided.

Even though summer is winding down, The Art Studios is in full motion!
Drop ins are still welcome any day of the week from 10-6. We are also moving into our last couple weeks of camp! If you are interested in joining us next week for Art in the Park camp please don't hesitate to call or e-mail us.

Time flies when you're having fun!

The summer is almost over and we can hardly beleive it!
We have had so many campers come in and out these past few weeks and are looking forward to the many others coming soon!
This week the campers have been getting a feel for working with glass.

Fused glass involves cutting glass (safely of course!) and laying pieces onto one another to make a picture or pattern. When the pieces go into the kiln, they melt together and become one lovely piece of art! The glass can then be fired again to take the shape of bowls, plates and more.

This week the campers got to make a bowl and some pendants to take home. The kids had a wonderful time and picked up the skills quickly- they're all glass fusion experts!

Thank you so much to everyone who made it out to our Heather in the Kalahari fundraiser!

We had a full house with 40 people come and paint to support Heather's trip. Attendees had a good time painting their mugs, bowls, plates and other trinkets while listening to some authentic African music.

With your help we raised over $600 for Heathers trip to Shakawe, Botswana. We wish her luck on her upcoming endeavour as she goes to spend 8 months living and working in the Kalahari desert.

Heather hopes to make a difference in the lives of the indigenous San people through small business development, marketing and resources management. She is also very excited to immerse herself in the culture and maybe even learn a bit more Setswana (the local language)! Thanks again to everyone who came out last night!

 Our third week of camp is coming to a close and boy did we have fun!

The kids had a great time experimenting with clay this week!
Campers learned how to properly handle clay, and lot's of different techniques. From kneading to shaping to painting their clay pieces, the kids got messy and had a ton of fun doing it!

We did a number of different projects including handprints, coasters and pinch pots!

They also worked on other great crafts and pottery painting throughout the week and even cooled off at the splash pad one day.

Heather in the Kalahari

One of our longtime employees Heather will be leaving us to go to Botswana in September.
She will be working with the indigenous people for 8 months in business development and resource management.

Join us this Saturday (July 21st) from 6-9 to say goodbye and support her trip!
We will be having refreshments, pottery painting, and African music!
Admission is $20 and includes the studio time and the piece.

Like Clockwork!

We have wrapped up our first week of the Amazing Art Camp here at The Art Studios, and are well into the first day of our second session for the summer. All the campers from our first session had an incredible time! They each went home with a box full of painted pottery and crafts. All the crafts were geared towards the theme of the first week: Art in the Park. In keeping with the theme, the campers made pet rocks and aliens, painted zebras, sketched outdoors, and made puppet animals!

Here are a couple photos of our campers assembling their own clocks. Each camper cut out and painted clay pieces, as well as a dinner plate, to make the pieces for their clocks. At the very bottom, you see the kids showing off their artwork!

Kids love our birthday party packages because it allows them to have fun creating a wonderful piece of art which they can keep for years to come!
Party packages include 2 hours in the party room with help from a staff member. They also include a party plate or tile with all the guests names on it and a one hour free card for each child upon pick-up.

Summer Youth Leadership Program

Join us at The Art Studios for a fun and creative way to get your high school community hours!

We are looking for outgoing and motivated 13-17 year olds to participate in our leadership program. It is designed for those looking to gain experience in working with children, develop their leadership skills, and learn about practical art applications.

Acting as a Leader In Training for our summer camp program, applicants must be willing to commit to one week, Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:30, and complete mandatory training.

Not only a great way to complete your volunteer hours, our Summer Youth Leadership Program is also a fun and unique way to spend a week of your summer!

Amazing Art Camps!

We encourage campers to get creative and explore the world of art through a variety of techniques and crafts! In addition to expanding their creative abilities, the kids will get to explore nature and search for inspiration during their times outside.

Our campers always have fun! We start the day with a craft, pottery painting or clay sculpting. After lunch, weather permitting, we take a short walk to Waterloo Park for some outdoor fun and games. Once back at the studio the art fun continues while we work on anther fun project.

The Amazing Art Camp is open to children Gr.1-6.
Camp runs from 8:30 am - 4:30pm
$199.00/per week
Includes all materials and supplies.
