Helen Smrcek- Store owner
Hello, I am Helen the owner of The Art Studios! I have owned the studio for 6 years and have loved every minute of it. When I am not at the studio making sure everything runs smoothly, I am writing. I am currently working on a novel AND a screenplay! I am very busy with all my projects but that is just how I like it! I have a wonderful family that I love with my husband, two kids and a dog and a cat. My favourite paint colour here is 505- lime green! It is just so bright and fun- how can you not use it? I absolutely love chatting with all the people that come through the studio. I like making sure that everyone is having a good time and that you feel comfortable here so make sure to say hi and ask me any questions you might have about the studio when you see me!


Hilary Jones- Sales Associate and Store Representative
Hi, I'm Hilary! I have been working at the studio since October 2013 and love it so far! I have a couple jobs right now outside of the studio including teaching drama, working as an early learning facilitator AND as an IBI therapist! I know I have a lot going on but it is all super fun :) I enjoy working at the studio because it gives me a different opportunity to be creative! I have a lot of built up creativity as I am trained vocally in opera, jazz, pop and musical theater so it is neat to have somewhere else to direct my creativity too. When I paint, my favourite colour is 371 so check it out next time you're in!



Maddie Snow- Sales Associate and Store Representative
Hey, I'm Maddie. I am a second year student at Wilfred Laurier University- and am super passionate about Geography which happens to be what I study in school! My favourite paint colours are 151, 102 and 11- they go really well together too so give them a try! I really love working at the studio and have been here since October 2013. My favourite thing about working here is opening up the kiln and seeing all the bright, beautiful pieces after they have been fired! An interesting fact about me is that I just LOVE cream cheese and I put it on everything that I can! Can't wait to see you at the studio and help you pick the perfect piece!
